Dear Parents: The Mission of the "Adventures With Mr. Bandman Show", and all its companion projects, is to educationally and artistically enrich the diverse cultural heritage of our global community by identifying and meeting the common needs of pre-school children up through third grade.
To achieve our researched based Mission we will focus on:
Skill development in the basic essentials of education, artistic excellence, and citizenship
Advanced learning through music and the cultural arts
The cultural diversity and similarities of other societies
Strengthen music and other arts programs throughout our Global Community
Stimulate an exchange of ideas so that children are exposed to different customs and cultures through music, food, and games
Produce non-violent programming that inspires and creates hope
Advocate the need to be aware of the importance of caring for our environment
Create a national awareness of the necessity of maintaining cultural arts programs in our public schools at all levels
Offer a network of communication
Publish and disseminate relevant education materials
Provide edu-tainment services to those joining the Mr. Bandman Club
Our staff of educators are all certified by the State of Texas and are related: "Highly Qualified".
Our primary focus is to assist schools in the development of the basic essentials of education and good citizenship. This, we pledge, will remain our constant goal.

Art Osborne, better known as 'Mr. Bandman', is a published Author, Composer and an Educator living in Dallas, Texas. In 1972, he received a Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of North Texas. He is also an award-winning music composer. Some of these awards were presented to him by prestigious organizations such as ASCAP - American Society for Composers, Artist and Publishers, The American Song Writer Contest, and the West Virginia Fine Arts Commission. Between 1973 and 1974, he worked with Robert Keshan, better known to the world as "Captain Kangaroo". While there, he was the resident composers for a children's television show funded by the US Department of Education. In this creative endeavor, he was an early proponent of using foundational, research-based educational teaching concepts. Such teaching models are now regularly used by today's most outstanding educational TV programmers. After years of successfully writing music for Albums, CD's, Television, and Live Productions Shows, he accepted a position in Elementary Music Education with the Dallas Independent School District. In this capacity, Mr. Osborne has become increasingly aware of the need to find and develop a fun, exciting way to inspire young children to become involved in music. As a result, he has created the charming, educational character of 'Mr. Bandman'. With this winning character as its centerpiece, he has developed the television series, "Adventures With Mr. Bandman". Based upon his years of valuable experience, and an abiding desire to enrich the lives of children, Art Osborne has fashioned a program that promises to be a wholesome, motivating inspiration to young children all across this world.
